How do we do it?
We raise funds through used book sales, cook book sales, the bookstore, membership dues and tax-deductible donation.
History
History
The Los Angeles Public Library, which includes the San Pedro Regional Library, has been ranked 2nd most visited library in the nation. Even so, there are not enough dollars in the budget to fund all the exciting, involving, involving, inspiring programs.
That is why the Friends of San Pedro Library was founded in 1972 by a group of forward thinking, civic minded, book loving readers.
Today the Friends continue to promote reading through books, magazines, programs and information technology for the 21st century.
